Quick start
1. Open the demo
2. Initialise the modem
Click Init modem.
This loads the WebAssembly module and prepares the browser audio system.
3. Run a loopback test
Click Loopback test.
This sends a packet through the modem internally and decodes it again without needing a radio.
Plain English: loopback proves the modem code is alive before you involve microphones, speakers or radio hardware.
4. Try receive audio
Click Start mic RX and allow microphone permission.
The browser will listen for APRS-style audio and attempt to decode packets.
5. Send a message
Fill in the callsign, destination and message fields, then click Send message audio.
The browser generates transmit audio through your speakers or audio output device.
WARNING
Transmit responsibly. Do not connect this to radio equipment or transmit on amateur bands unless you are licensed and understand the local rules.
